Ingredients
- 1 stick salted butter
- 1-2C Light Brown Sugar
- 1C Heavy Cream
- 1C Whole Milk
- 1/2T Kosher Salt
- 1T Vanilla Extract
Steps
- In a small sauce pan melt one stick of butter, add brown sugar.
- Increase heat until sugar goes from a sandy texture with melted butter, to a cohesive sauce.
- Combine the milk and cream.
- When sauce turns dark and begins to smell lightly toasted, add cream.
- Bring to a low simmer. Reduce until thickened.
- Once desired thickness is reached, remove from heat and add salt and vanilla extract.
